Philmont 2025

The Chippewa Valley Council is sending a council-led contingent to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico June 28-July 9, 2025. Youth  that are interested in attending, should fill out the interest form.

About Philmont Scout Ranch: Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America’s premier High Adventure base, challenges Scouts and Venturers with more than 214 square miles of rugged northern New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country. Learn more here.

Requirements for Philmont Trek participants: Must be 14 years of age OR be at least 13 years of age and completed the 8th grade prior to June 15, 2025. View all other requirements here.

National Jamboree 2026

The Chippewa Valley Council is sending a contingent to the National Jamboree. We are tentatively planning on trip dates of July 19 – August 1, 2026, but exact dates and costs are yet to be determined. 2026 High Adventure Trip

We are actively looking for adult leaders and youth participants (that will be 14 / 13 & entering high school) interested in going on a trip to one of these three BSA high adventure bases: Philmont Scout Ranch, SeaBase, and Northern Tier.

NYLT

June 8-14, 2025 

Camp Phillips

NYLT COURSE: National Youth Leadership Training or NYLT is an action packed week-long advanced leadership course for Scouts 13 or older. Are you looking to enhance your leadership skills and become a better leader in your Troop or Crew? Then the NYLT course is the place for you.

NYLT STAFF OPPORTUNITIES: Are you a youth that completed NYLT Training? Participating as staff at NYLT is a wonderful way to put the leadership knowledge you acquired into action, while having a lot of fun working and making friends with Scouts from all over.

CAMP PHILLIPS

LEAD PROGRAM: The LEAD Program is for youth 14-17 to grow in leadership and as a Scout while shadowing Camp Phillips Staff members. Learn more here.

CAMP STAFF OPPORTUNITIES: We're hiring people 16+ for summer staff positions. Dates of employment June 8 - August 1, 2025.  Sharpen real-world skills, be outside, have fun, and be a hero to a Scout this summer.
