Did You Know?
Over 67% of our Units in Clear Water and our District earned the Centennial District Award for 2007! We ended 2007 with a 3.5% growth in youth membership, more trained youth and adults, and more youth participating in outdoor experiences. Congratulations!

Please join us in welcoming our newest Venture Crews to the Clear Water District. Crew # 9 is a co-ed group from McKinley Charter School here in Eau Claire. They have been to camp numerous times already this winter and are very excited to come to camp this spring to go fishing. Crew 15 a co-ed high adventure group of students from UWEC. They are extremely involved in outdoor activities. In fact, they are participating in an outdoor event almost every weekend.

A Recap of Our District Dinner

I would like to thank everyone who attended our annual District dinner last month. Each year our District has the opportunity to recognize three individuals with the highest award a volunteer can receive at the District level: the District Award of Merit. This year’s recipients were: Don Blink, Paul Glittenberg, and Randi Bulinski. Each year we also recognize someone with the Pioneer Award for “leading the way.” This year’s recipient was Mike Konzen.

Please join with me in thanking these volunteers for all of the time, energy, and resources they have shared with Scouting over the years.
