Empowered Leadership

A Leadership Development Program for Today's Youth Empowered



The Empowered Leadership program is a co-ed course in Leadership Development. Our 100 years of leadership development has shown that there are three main components of Leadership Development: Personal Development, Team Development, and Organizational Development. The Empowered Leadership program consists of three modules covering these three components of leadership development as well as three opportunities for youth to apply the skills covered in the modules.



PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT:   Personal

Includes the following topics:
* Personality Profile
* Framework of Leadership
* Values and Ethical Decision Making
* Leadership Styles
* Teaching Methods
* Time Management		 High Ropes Course is designed to challenge each participant physically and mentally by offering challenging elements 35 feet off of the ground.

TEAM DEVELOPMENT: Team
Includes the following topics:
* Situational Leadership
* Problem Solving
* Stages of Team Development
* Communication
* Conflict Resolution
* Teamwork and Problem Solving		 Low Ropes Course is designed to challenge the mental and physical aspects of participants in both individual and group settings. The course uses games, events, and unique activities to build skills in the following areas: leadership, self-esteem, decision making, communication, trust, and teamwork.

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Organizational
Includes the following topics:
* Goals/Visions/Missions
* Planning
* Sequence of Events
* Group Management
* Meeting Management
* Project Budgeting
* Service Project Selection		 Service Learning Project 
The skills learned in the three leadership development modules will be used in a service learning project to benefit your local community and a cause that your organization identifies.

In addition to the Leadership Development modules, a partnership with the Boy Scouts gives your group additional opportunities, including:
* Climbing Tower/Zip Line
* Shooting Sports
* Career Exploration
* Adventure Education
* Aquatics
* Career Interest Surveys
* Camping Opportunities
* Boating
* Youth Protection Education


Leadership development is a lifelong skill that every youth should be exposed to. Leadership programming provides an opportunity for youth to step outside of their comfort zones. Every post-high school opportunity for today’s youth requires some sort of Leadership skills. The Boy Scouts of America has been instructing leadership skills in its youth for over 100 years. Our facilitators are well versed in programing that has been tried and tested on millions of youth across the country.
